Lake Arenal, with the impressive Arenal Volcano in the background, presents a spectacular landscape that fuses the calm of the water with the rich vegetation of the rainforest. A tour that combines hiking and a boat trip is the ideal way to enjoy this beauty from different perspectives. We tell you in detail everything the tour offers:
This experience gives you the opportunity to see the Arenal Volcano from different points of view: through the trails in the jungle, from a raised observation platform, and from the tranquility of Lake Arenal. Each view offers a unique and memorable image of the volcano, allowing you to appreciate its majestic shape and its natural environment.
This tour unites two different ecosystems: the rainforest and the lake. You will walk along trails surrounded by lush vegetation, listening to the sounds of nature, and you will navigate the calm waters of the lake, observing the wildlife that inhabits its shores. It is an opportunity to connect with nature in a complete and varied way.
Sloths inhabit a rich and complex ecosystem. Their presence is an indicator of the rainforest's health. By searching for them, you immerse yourself in a world full of life, where every plant, insect, and sound plays an important role. It's an opportunity to learn about the interconnectedness of nature and the importance of its conservation, understanding the vital role of each species.
Lake Arenal is a crucial habitat for various species of aquatic birds and other animals. During the boat trip, you will have the opportunity to see birds such as herons, kingfishers, and other species that inhabit the shores of the lake. With a bit of luck, you can also spot other animals such as monkeys or sloths in the wooded areas nearby.
The naturalist guides who accompany you on the tour share fascinating facts about the history of the Arenal Volcano, its activity cycles, its geological formation, and the relevance of the lake to the region. This enriches your experience and helps you better understand the environment around you.
