ANSWERS TO YOUR QUESTIONS (FAQS)

Everything you need to know before booking your tour.

Yes. Children of all ages enjoy meeting the farm animals, riding the ox cart during the trapiche demo, and helping grind cacao. The farm is one of our most family-friendly experiences.

Yes. The kitchen is inspected by the Ministry of Health and the family has hosted visitors weekly for years. Vegetarian, gluten-free, and lactose-free options are available with 24-hour notice.

Yes. The farm raises oxen for the trapiche demonstration plus dairy cows, chickens, pigs, and sometimes horses. You can pet and photograph the animals during the visit.

Very rural. It is a working family farm in the hills outside La Fortuna, accessed by a gravel road. No internet, limited cell coverage, and electricity is solar-supplemented. That is the charm of the experience.

Three generations have worked this farm. The grandparents host the meal, the parents lead the agroecology walk, and the kids often help with the animals. All tour interactions go through a bilingual guide.
