Why book the Waterfall Jump and Canyoning?

Most canyoning tours in Costa Rica skip the cliff-jumping section because the pool depths and rock geometry are too sensitive to manage safely. This tour was designed specifically around a canyon where the natural pools meet the jumping standards required by the operator's insurer.

Certified guides

All guides hold ICT canyoning certification and active first-aid licenses.
🍽️

ANSWERS TO YOUR QUESTIONS (FAQS)

Everything you need to know before booking your tour.

No. All three cliff jumps are optional. You can climb down using ropes if you prefer not to jump. About one in four guests skips at least one jump and that is completely fine.

Three jumps at approximately 8 feet (2.5 m), 15 feet (4.5 m), and 25 feet (7.6 m). The pool below each is at least 12 feet deep and the guide always checks before sending the first jumper.

You need basic swimming ability — enough to swim 25 meters in calm water and tread water for 60 seconds. The wetsuit provides extra buoyancy and the guide is in the pool with you.

The regular canyoning tour is 4 hours with 4 to 5 rappels and no jumps. This tour is 6 hours, includes the cliff-jumping section, and ends with a 60 to 70-foot waterfall rappel.

Minimum age 12, maximum age 60 for safety reasons. Younger or older guests can book the regular canyoning tour instead.
